  • Earn Extra Aeroplan Points on Hyatt Stays Through February 2027

Earn Extra Aeroplan Points on Hyatt Stays Through February 2027

World of Hyatt and Air Canada Aeroplan launched a new promotion that lets members earn points with both programs on the same hotel stay.

Through February 14, 2027, eligible members can earn 1.5 bonus Aeroplan points per $1 spent on qualifying Hyatt stays, on top of the World of Hyatt points they’d normally earn.

To participate, you’ll need to link your loyalty accounts and register for the promotion by November 11, 2026.

How the Hyatt and Aeroplan Promotion Works

World of Hyatt members normally earn 5 base points per $1 spent on eligible hotel stays (or 2.5 points per $1 at Hyatt Studios).

With this promotion, members can earn an additional 1.5 Aeroplan points per $1 spent and collect rewards in both programs on the same stay.

For example, a qualifying $1,000 Hyatt stay would earn:

    • 5,000 World of Hyatt base points
    • 1,500 bonus Aeroplan points

That’s before accounting for any additional Hyatt points earned through elite status or other eligible promotions.

The offer applies to participating Hyatt properties worldwide. Stays must be completed between October 14, 2026, and February 14, 2027, after registration.

Only the room occupied by the member qualifies. Bonus Aeroplan points may take up to eight weeks to post and won’t count toward Aeroplan Status Qualifying Credits.

For travelers with upcoming Hyatt stays, this is an easy opportunity to earn additional airline points without giving up their usual World of Hyatt earnings.

  • Earn Up to 11X AAdvantage Miles and Loyalty Points on Vacation Packages

Earn Up to 11X AAdvantage Miles and Loyalty Points on Vacation Packages

American Airlines is offering AAdvantage members a way to earn additional miles and Loyalty Points when booking vacation packages through American Airlines Vacations.

Through December 31, 2026, members can earn up to 11 miles and Loyalty Points per $1 spent on eligible vacation packages, depending on their AAdvantage status.

And because earnings are calculated on the eligible value of the package, including hotels and rental cars, the promotion could be particularly useful for travelers working toward AAdvantage elite status.

    How Much Can You Earn?

American’s MaximizeMiles promotion offers different earning rates depending on your AAdvantage status.

    • No status: 5X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
    • Gold: 7X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
    • Platinum: 8X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
    • Platinum Pro: 9X miles and Loyalty Points per $1
    • Executive Platinum: 11X miles and Loyalty Points per $1

Just note that earnings are distributed among eligible travelers on the reservation rather than going entirely to the person making the booking.

American uses the highest AAdvantage status among travelers to determine the package’s earning rate, but each traveler must have their AAdvantage number included in the reservation to receive their share.

Why This Offer Is Worth Considering

This offer is worth keeping on your radar whether you’re looking to earn more redeemable miles, Loyalty Points toward elite status, or both.

For example, a recent American Airlines Vacations booking of mine costing approximately $240 earned 2,420 AAdvantage miles and 3,025 Loyalty Points.

The booking also qualified for a statement credit through the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard, which offers a $500 American Airlines Vacations credit each calendar year, split into two $250 credits. One is available from January through June, and the other from July through December.

In this case, the statement credit covered the entire $239.55 purchase.

That’s a useful illustration of how an American Airlines Vacations booking can generate miles and Loyalty Points while also taking advantage of an eligible credit card benefit. Not to mention the 12X redeemable miles earned on the purchase itself with the card.

How to Take Advantage of the Offer

You’ll need to book an eligible package through American Airlines Vacations by December 31, 2026 and complete your travel by November 30, 2027.

There’s no minimum spend, minimum stay, or promo code required. The offer is also valid across all destinations without blackout dates.

Taxes, fees, and amounts paid using miles don’t qualify for earnings. Basic Economy fares are excluded.

Before booking, compare the package price against booking the same hotel, rental car, or flights separately. The additional miles and Loyalty Points can make a package appealing, but only if the overall price makes sense.

  • Fly Air France or KLM to Europe From 15,000 Points and Under $6 in Fees

Fly Air France or KLM to Europe From 15,000 Points and Under $6 in Fees

Booking Air France or KLM flights to Europe through Virgin Atlantic Flying Club can come with some hefty taxes and fees. For example, a one-way Air France economy flight from Los Angeles to Paris currently carries more than $293 in taxes and fees on top of the points required.

But there’s an interesting exception for flights departing Minneapolis.

We’re finding nonstop flights to Paris and Amsterdam for as little as 15,000 Virgin points plus just $5.60 in taxes and fees. That’s a pretty unusual price for a transatlantic flight on either airline.

Flights From Minneapolis to Europe With Just $5.60 in Fees

Here are two examples we found when searching Virgin Atlantic Flying Club:

    • Minneapolis (MSP) to Amsterdam (AMS): 15,000 points plus $5.60 on KLM, departing Oct. 19, 2026.
    • Minneapolis (MSP) to Paris (CDG): 25,000 points plus $5.60 on Air France, departing Jul. 25, 2027.
KLM award from MSP to AMS via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
    VIRGIN ATLANTIC
Air France award from MSP to CDG via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
    VIRGIN ATLANTIC

For comparison, the Los Angeles-to-Paris example carries over $287 more in taxes and fees.

The low fees appear to apply specifically to nonstop economy flights departing Minneapolis. Connecting beyond Paris or Amsterdam can increase the taxes and fees, and mileage prices vary by date.

    How to Find These Flights

Search for flights from Minneapolis to Paris or Amsterdam on Virgin Atlantic’s website and select the option to book with points or via PointsYeah.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is a transfer partner of several major credit card rewards programs, so there’s no need to earn the points by flying Virgin Atlantic.

Minneapolis won’t be a convenient departure point for everyone. But for anyone who can get there inexpensively, these flights are worth a look, particularly with taxes and fees this low.

  • Amazon Is Offering Up to 50% Off With Amex or Citi Points

Amazon Is Offering Up to 50% Off With Amex or Citi Points

Amazon is running a round of targeted promotions for shoppers who use American Express Membership Rewards or Citi ThankYou points at checkout.

Eligible cardholders can save up to 50% with Amex points or up to 40% with Citi points on eligible Amazon purchases. And you don’t need to pay for the entire purchase with points to qualify.

Both promotions are scheduled to run through December 31, 2026.

    Here’s how they work.

How the Amazon Shop With Points Discounts Work

First, you’ll need to enroll an eligible American Express or Citi card in Amazon’s Shop with Points program.

From there, check the promotional offers available to your account and activate any you’re eligible for.

There’s no reason to pay for the entire purchase with points just to trigger the discount. You only need to use the minimum number of points required by your offer and can pay the remaining balance with your card.

The discounts apply to eligible products purchased through Shop with Points and are calculated before shipping, taxes, and fees. Amazon gift cards aren’t eligible.

And for anyone who shops Amazon regularly, Amazon Prime also comes with free shipping on eligible purchases and other benefits.

    American Express Membership Rewards Offers

Eligible Amex cardholders can check their offer here.

We’ve seen three versions so far:

    • 50% off, up to $50, using at least 429 points
    • 40% off, up to $35, using at least 1,429 points
    • 15% off, up to $10, using at least 1,429 points

The promotion applies to eligible purchases made through Amazon’s Shop with Points program. Discounts are calculated before shipping, taxes, and fees, and Amazon gift cards aren’t eligible.

    Citi ThankYou Points Offers

Eligible Citi cardholders can check their offer here.

    Offers we’ve seen include:

    • 40% off, up to $50, using at least 125 points
    • 25% off, up to $30, using at least 125 points
    • 20% off, up to $15, using at least 125 points

As with the Amex promotion, you only need to use the minimum required points to trigger the discount. The remaining balance can be paid through another method.

    Check Your Offers Before Shopping

These promotions are targeted, so having an eligible Amex or Citi card doesn’t automatically mean you’ll receive a discount.

Even among eligible cardholders, the offers can vary by a wide margin. So, it’s worth checking both promotions if you have cards that earn Membership Rewards and ThankYou points.

Both promotions are currently scheduled to end at 5 p.m. PT on December 31, 2026. However, just note that Amazon may close individual offers earlier once their redemption limits are reached.

  • Alaska Airlines Is Selling Atmos Rewards Points With up to a 110% Bonus

Alaska Airlines Is Selling Atmos Rewards Points With up to a 110% Bonus

Buying airline points might sound like an unnecessary extra step. After all, if a flight is available, why not just pay for it?

Sometimes there’s a good reason. Buying the points needed to book a flight can cost less than paying for airfare directly.

Alaska Airlines sells Atmos Rewards points throughout the year and periodically runs promotions that lower their cost. There’s little reason to buy just because a sale is happening. But with a trip already in mind, it takes only a few minutes to see whether buying points could save money.

Current Atmos Rewards Buy Points Offer

Alaska Airlines is currently offering up to a 110% bonus when buying Atmos Rewards points through November 7.

There’s a catch with that “up to” language. The offer appears to vary by member, and it’s not clear what determines who gets the full 110% bonus. A 100% bonus appears to be more widely available.

With a 100% bonus, Atmos Rewards points cost about 1.88 cents each after the 7.5% federal excise tax. Members targeted for the 110% bonus can buy them for about 1.79 cents each.

    • Current promotion: Up to 110% bonus
    • Price per point: About 1.79 cents with a 110% bonus; about 1.88 cents with a 100% bonus
    • Offer ends: November 7, 2026
    • Purchase limit: Up to 100,000 points per transaction before the bonus
    • Annual limit: 250,000 points purchased or received as gifts; no annual purchase limit for Atmos Rewards elite members

When Buying Atmos Rewards Points Makes Sense

The easiest way to decide whether buying points makes sense is to compare what the flight costs in cash with what it would cost to buy the points needed to book it.

    The math is simple:

Points needed × current price per point = cost to buy the points

Say a flight is available for 20,000 Atmos Rewards points. At roughly 1.88 cents each with a 100% bonus, buying those points would cost about $376.

If the same flight costs $500 in cash, buying the points could come out ahead. If it costs $300, paying cash is the easy choice.

Members targeted for the 110% bonus have slightly better math. Those same 20,000 points would cost about $358 at roughly 1.79 cents each.

That’s why the percentage bonus isn’t especially useful on its own. What matters is the price of the flight, how many points it requires, and what those points cost to buy.

Don’t Buy Points Just Because They’re on Sale

There’s little reason to stock up on Atmos Rewards points without a trip in mind. Alaska sells points regularly and runs purchase promotions periodically.

Instead, start with the flight. Check the cash price, search how many Atmos Rewards points it requires, and calculate what those points would cost to buy.

Sometimes cash wins. Sometimes points do.

And when buying the points costs less, it can be a straightforward way to save on a flight that was already in the plans.

  • Wyndham Is Selling Rewards Points With up to a 90% Bonus

Wyndham Is Selling Rewards Points With up to a 90% Bonus

Buying hotel points might sound like an unnecessary extra step. After all, if a room is available, why not just pay for it?

Sometimes there’s a good reason. Buying the points needed to book a room can cost less than paying the hotel directly.

Wyndham Rewards sells points throughout the year and periodically runs promotions that lower their cost. There’s little reason to buy just because a sale is happening. But with a Wyndham stay already in mind, the program makes it particularly easy to see whether buying points could save money.

That’s because Wyndham prices free nights at one of four tiers: 5,000, 15,000, 30,000, or 45,000 points per room.

    Current Wyndham Buy Points Offer

Wyndham is currently offering up to an 80% bonus when buying points, dropping the purchase price to about 0.72 cents each.

Wyndham credit cardholders get an even better offer: up to a 90% bonus, bringing the price down to roughly 0.68 cents per point.

    • Current promotion: Up to 80% bonus, or up to 90% for Wyndham credit cardholders
    • Price per point: About 0.72 cents, or 0.68 cents for cardholders
    • Offer ends: October 21, 2026
    • Offer purchase limit: 100,000 points before the bonus
    • Annual purchase limit: 100,000 points before any bonus

What Wyndham’s Free Night Tiers Cost During This Sale

Wyndham’s four-tier redemption structure makes the math super simple.

At the current sale price, here’s roughly what it would cost to buy enough points for one night at each tier using the best-available rate at each bonus:

Points per night80% bonus90% cardholder bonus
    5,000 points$36$34
    15,000 points$108$102
    30,000 points$216$204
    45,000 points$324$306

That doesn’t mean every 15,000-point Wyndham hotel is automatically a good deal at $102 or $108 per night. It just gives an easy number to compare with the cash price.

If a hotel requiring 15,000 points costs $175 for the same night, buying the points could come out ahead. If it costs $90, paying cash makes more sense.

That’s really all there is to it.

Aerial pool view of the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort.
Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort. WYNDHAM

When Buying Wyndham Points Makes Sense

The easiest way to decide whether buying points makes sense is to start with a specific hotel.

Check how many points it requires, calculate what those points would cost under the current promotion, and compare that with the cash price for the same room.

    The math is simple:

Points needed × current price per point = cost to buy the points

Wyndham’s redemption tiers make that calculation especially easy during this promotion. A 30,000-point night, for example, effectively costs about $216 in purchased points with the 80% bonus or $204 with the 90% cardholder offer.

It’s still worth comparing the same room and dates. Taxes, resort fees, and other charges can differ depending on how a stay is booked, so the headline room rate doesn’t always tell the whole story.

Don’t Buy Points Just Because They’re on Sale

There’s little reason to stock up on Wyndham points without a stay in mind. Wyndham runs purchase promotions periodically, and another offer will eventually come along.

Instead, start with the hotel. Check the cash price, check which redemption tier it falls into, and calculate what those points would cost to buy.

Sometimes cash wins. Sometimes points do.

And with Wyndham’s four redemption tiers, figuring out which one is cheaper takes very little math.

  • Marriott Transfers to Aeroplan Get a 15% Bonus This Month

Marriott Transfers to Aeroplan Get a 15% Bonus This Month

One of the lesser-known ways to use Marriott Bonvoy points is transferring them to dozens of airline partners.

    Yes, dozens.

On a normal day, Marriott offers transfers to the majority of these partners at a 3:1 ratio. So, transfer 60,000 Marriott points to an airline partner and receive 20,000 miles or points. But for a limited time, one of those partners is getting a boost.

Through October 31, Air Canada is advertising the “only chance this year” to snag a 15% bonus on Marriott Bonvoy point transfers to Aeroplan.

60,000 Marriott Points Become 28,750 Aeroplan Points

This month only, Marriott Bonvoy point transfers to Aeroplan are 15% more rewarding.

Here’s how it works. Aeroplan will add 15% more points to an account after a transfer from Marriott Bonvoy. And there’s already a 5,000-point bonus for every 60,000 Marriott points transferred.

In other words, transferring 60,000 Marriott points to Aeroplan at the standard 3:1 ratio nets 20,000 Aeroplan points. The 5,000-point bonus brings that total to 25,000, and then the 15% transfer bonus gets tacked on top.

So, transfer 60,000 Marriott points to Aeroplan during October and the final total is 28,750 Aeroplan points.

Program members can transfer up to 240,000 Marriott points per day, and the bonus points may take between eight and 10 weeks to land in an account.

To transfer, click here and log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account.

Generally speaking, the 3:1 transfer ratio should at least give some pause before automatically transferring Marriott points, especially without a specific use in mind. But even without a transfer bonus on the table, these Marriott conversions offer a backdoor way to earn more airline miles.

It just so happens that transferring to one particular partner is a little more rewarding this month.

  • Delta Is Offering a $100 eCredit for Select International Trips

Delta Is Offering a $100 eCredit for Select International Trips

Delta SkyMiles members planning an international trip early next year could get $100 toward another flight.

The airline is offering a $100 eCredit after a paid Delta Main flight from the U.S. to select destinations between January 15 and March 31, 2027.

SkyMiles members can log into their account to see if it’s available and register before booking.

How to Earn the $100 eCredit

The promotion covers 25 destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand:

    • Europe and Africa: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Paris, Dublin, Edinburgh, Rome, Frankfurt, London, Lisbon, Madrid, Munich, Milan, Marrakesh, Venice, and Zurich
    • Asia and Pacific: Auckland, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Melbourne, Shanghai, Sydney, and Taipei

Some routes only operate during part of the promotional period.

SkyMiles bookings don’t qualify, and neither do Delta Comfort or Delta Premium Select tickets. The flight must be marketed and operated by Delta or Delta Connection.

Members can earn one $100 eCredit, which should arrive within 30 days after the flight and expires six months after it’s issued.

The offer isn’t enough on its own to make a Delta trip worthwhile. But for someone already planning a paid economy trip to one of these destinations, it’s an extra $100 toward a future Delta flight.

  • 5 Hotel Promotions Worth Knowing About This Fall

5 Hotel Promotions Worth Knowing About This Fall

Hotel promotions aren’t typically reasons on their own to book a trip. But when a stay is already on the calendar, registering for the right one can spell an easy opportunity to earn a few more points.

Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, Hilton, and Wyndham all have promotions for stays this fall, ranging from a few thousand bonus points to 4X bonus points.

    Here’s what’s on offer.

Marriott Bonvoy: Up to 4,500 Bonus Points Per Stay

Marriott Bonvoy members can earn 1,500 bonus points on each eligible paid stay of at least two nights through November 22.

If you stay at a participating resort, Marriott adds another 3,000 points. That brings the total to 4,500 bonus points per stay.

There’s no limit to the number of qualifying stays, but registration is required by November 13. Only eligible paid stays completed after registering qualify, so it’s worth registering before the next Marriott stay rather than waiting until checkout.

Points bookings don’t count for this one.

Register for this Marriott Bonvoy promotion

IHG One Rewards: Earn Up to 3X Points

IHG One Rewards is offering up to 3X points on stays from October 1 through December 31.

There’s a catch, though: the first qualifying stay doesn’t earn any bonus points.

Starting with the second stay, members earn 2X points when booking through an IHG direct channel. If you book through the IHG app, WeChat, or LINE instead, that increases to 3X points instead.

There’s no cap on the number of bonus points that can be earned.

Registration is required, and stays completed before registering don’t count. That makes this one worth registering for before the first IHG stay of the promotion, even though the extra points don’t start until stay number two.

Register for this IHG One Rewards promotion

World of Hyatt: 3,000 Points for Every 3 Nights

World of Hyatt members can earn 3,000 bonus points for every three eligible nights after registering, up to a maximum of 36,000 bonus points.

Participating Hyatt hotels and resorts count, along with participating Mr & Mrs Smith properties, The Venetian Resort, and Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt.

There’s another useful difference here: points stays do count. An eligible night can be booked with an eligible paid rate or a free night award.

The bonus starts with the first eligible stay after registration.

Hilton Honors: Up to 3,000 Bonus Points Per Stay

Hilton’s More Points to Play promotion runs through December 31.

Registered Hilton Honors members earn 3,000 bonus points per stay at participating luxury, lifestyle, and resort properties. Stays at other Hilton properties earn 1,000 bonus points.

There’s no overall cap on the number of bonus points one can earn.

This promotion rewards stays rather than nights, which makes shorter stays particularly interesting. Three separate one-night stays at eligible luxury, lifestyle, or resort properties, for example, would earn 9,000 bonus points.

Registration is required before completing a qualifying stay.

    Wyndham Rewards: Earn 4X Points

Wyndham Rewards members can earn 4X points on qualifying stays this fall, with up to 15,000 bonus points available through this promotion.

There’s a little more time to use this one. Stays must be booked directly with Wyndham by January 15, 2027, and completed by January 19.

Wyndham says 15,000 points is enough for as many as three free nights at the more than 1,000 properties in its new 5,000-point redemption tier.

    Registration is required before booking.
