Capital One Miles Transfer Partners: Airlines, Hotels, and Ratios

Capital One miles currently transfer to 23 airline and hotel loyalty programs. That’s a sizable list, and it’s one of the reasons Capital One miles are such a useful rewards currency.

Here’s the full list of Capital One transfer partners, their transfer ratios, roughly how long transfers take, and which credit cards give you access to them.

Capital One Airline Transfer Partners

Capital One has 20 airline transfer partners spanning all three major airline alliances (Star Alliance, Oneworld, and SkyTeam), plus several independent carriers.

Most transfers occur at a 1:1 ratio, meaning 1,000 Capital One miles become 1,000 airline miles. That ratio can get even better when there’s a limited-time transfer bonus.

One thing worth remembering is that you don’t necessarily need to transfer miles to the airline you’re flying.

Take Air Canada Aeroplan, for example, which lets you book Star Alliance partners like Lufthansa and ANA. Or Virgin Red, whose Virgin Points can be shared with a linked Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account and used to book partner flights, including Delta.

In addition to its 20 airline transfer partners, Capital One has three hotel loyalty program partners.

How to Transfer Capital One Miles

You can transfer Capital One miles online or through the Capital One mobile app. Here’s how:

Sign in to your Capital One account.
Select View Rewards.
Choose Transfer Rewards.
Select your airline or hotel transfer partner.
Enter the number of miles you’d like to transfer and confirm.

Capital One transfers require a minimum of 1,000 miles and can be made in increments of 100 miles thereafter.

For example, if you’re booking an award flight that costs 14,500 miles, you can transfer exactly 14,500 Capital One miles, provided the transfer ratio is 1:1 and there’s no active transfer bonus.

Some transfers process almost instantly, while others can take a day or more. And once miles leave your Capital One account, you can’t move them back.

That’s why it’s worth confirming award availability before transferring. It can also help to link your loyalty accounts ahead of time, since first-time transfers can occasionally trigger security checks or delays.

Which Capital One Credit Cards Earn Transferable Miles?

Cash-back cards like the Quicksilver, Savor, or Spark products don’t offer transfers to airline and hotel partners on their own.

However, if you also have an eligible Capital One miles-earning card, you can generally combine rewards between accounts. Cash back converts to miles at a rate of 1 cent per mile, meaning $100 in cash back becomes 10,000 Capital One miles.

If you only have a cash-back card, you won’t have access to transfer partners.

In other words, you don’t necessarily need to put all your spending on a Venture card to take advantage of Capital One’s airline and hotel partners.

Capital One Adds Copa ConnectMiles, Launches 30% Transfer Bonus
Capital One has quietly added another airline to its list of transfer partners, and there’s a limited-time bonus to go along with it.

Capital One miles can now be transferred to Copa Airlines’ ConnectMiles program at a 4:3 ratio. And through December 1, 2026, Capital One is offering a 30% transfer bonus.

That makes the effective transfer ratio 1,000 Capital One miles to 975 ConnectMiles during the promotion.

The addition comes just over a week after Citi added Copa ConnectMiles as a transfer partner. Travelers now have yet another way to earn miles in the Panama-based airline’s loyalty program.

How Capital One Transfers to Copa Work

Under the standard 4:3 transfer ratio, every 1,000 Capital One miles becomes 750 Copa ConnectMiles.

But with the 30% transfer bonus available through December 1, the math improves by a good margin:
- 10,000 Capital One miles → 9,750 ConnectMiles
- 20,000 Capital One miles → 19,500 ConnectMiles
- 40,000 Capital One miles → 39,000 ConnectMiles
- 80,000 Capital One miles → 78,000 ConnectMiles
That’s nearly a 1:1 transfer ratio, but not quite.

For comparison, eligible premium Citi ThankYou cards transfer points to Copa at a standard 1:1 ratio, with no bonus required.

What Can You Book With Copa ConnectMiles?

Copa Airlines is a Star Alliance member based in Panama City (PTY), and its ConnectMiles program can be used to book flights on Copa and other Star Alliance carriers, including United, Avianca, ANA, and Turkish Airlines.

The program publishes separate award charts for Copa-operated flights and partner airlines.

Some Saver-level award examples include:
- 15,000 miles in economy or 30,000 in business for Copa flights between parts of the southeastern U.S. and Panama, Central America, or the Caribbean.
- 20,000 miles in economy or 40,000 in business for Copa flights from the rest of the continental U.S. and Canada to those destinations.
- 30,000 miles in economy or 70,000 in business for Star Alliance partner flights between the U.S. or Canada and Europe.
ConnectMiles also has several non-Star Alliance partners, including Emirates, KLM, Azul, and GOL.

There are some potentially useful redemptions here, but finding partner award availability isn’t always easy. And just because a flight is available through another Star Alliance program doesn’t mean it’ll appear through Copa.

Before transferring, it’s worth comparing award prices with other Capital One partners, including Air Canada Aeroplan and Avianca LifeMiles. As always, find an available award first, since transfers can’t be reversed.

3 Obvious (and 3 Not-So-Obvious) Ways to Use a Virgin Atlantic Transfer Bonus
Virgin Atlantic partners with several transferable credit card points programs. On top of that, there’s (more often than not, seemingly) a transfer bonus to its Flying Club loyalty program.

Right now, two issuers are offering transfer bonuses:
- Capital One: 30% bonus through November 20, 2026.
- American Express Membership Rewards: 30% bonus through November 30, 2026.
And there are plenty of ways these bonuses can be useful on airlines other than Virgin Atlantic.

Most of these ways are fairly obvious (we’ll show you those), and some aren’t so obvious (we’ll show you those, too).

One thing to keep in mind is that the two programs have different transfer increments. Capital One transfers start at 1,000 miles, with increments of 100 miles thereafter. Amex transfers in increments of 1,000 points.

That means you may need to transfer slightly more Amex points to cover a particular redemption.

The Obvious Redemptions

U.S. to London on Virgin Atlantic

The most obvious way to use Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points is for flights operated by Virgin Atlantic itself.

Virgin Atlantic uses dynamic pricing, so award rates fluctuate based on several factors. But the lowest rates are remarkably cheap. They’re some of the lowest you’ll find between the U.S. and the U.K. (London Heathrow and Manchester), though they’re tempered by higher taxes and fees.

Particularly in economy, they really can’t get much cheaper.

For instance, from Virgin’s East Coast gateways (New York, Boston, Washington — and even Cancun, which isn’t technically on the East Coast), you can book tickets starting at just 6,000 points each way. From the other side of the country (Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco), you’ll see rates starting at 9,000 points.

Book these round-trip at the lowest rates, and you’ll pay 12,000 Virgin points from the East Coast (transfer 9,300 Capital One miles or 10,000 Amex points with the bonus) or 18,000 points from the West Coast (13,900 Capital One miles or 14,000 Amex points).

The catch is the taxes and fees, which can run closer to $150 flying to the U.K. and $330 coming back.

Los Angeles to New York on Delta

Both Delta and Virgin Atlantic belong to the SkyTeam airline alliance, and because of this, you can use Virgin points to book Delta flights and vice versa.

Virgin Atlantic prices Delta awards according to a distance-based chart (and on a segment-by-segment basis). With a 30% transfer bonus, these flights now require quite a few fewer Capital One miles.

One example is a round-trip, cross-country ticket between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX). If you take the nonstop in each direction, you’ll pay 44,000 Virgin points plus $5.60 in taxes each way.

That works out to about 33,900 Capital One miles or 34,000 Amex points with the current transfer bonuses.

This won’t always be the cheapest way to get between these two big cities, but it’s one to keep in your back pocket nonetheless.

Boston to Copenhagen on Scandinavian Airlines

Nearly every day of the week (except Wednesdays), Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flies between Boston (BOS) and Copenhagen (CPH).

In business class, these tickets cost 60,000 Virgin points each way, plus roughly $6 in taxes departing the U.S. or $95 departing Copenhagen. (Taxes and fees can vary if you’re flying from other Nordic countries to the U.S.)

If you book a round-trip ticket between Boston and Copenhagen, you’ll redeem 120,000 Virgin points and pay roughly $100 in taxes and fees.

With the ongoing transfer bonuses, the mileage component drops to about 92,400 Capital One miles or 93,000 Amex points for round-trip business class to Europe.

The Not-So-Obvious Redemptions

On the not-so-obvious side, we’ve got a few fun ways to redeem Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points that are made a little better with the 30% transfer bonus.

St. Vincent to Bridgetown on Virgin Atlantic

On Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Virgin Atlantic’s Airbus A330-300 makes a short, 50-minute hop between St. Vincent (SVD) and Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI).

If you’re using Flying Club points, you can only book economy, which costs 2,300 or 2,500 points plus about $50 in taxes and fees in either direction.

These tickets don’t normally drop below $150 each way, so it’s a redemption worth keeping in mind if you’re planning an island-hopping trip around the Caribbean.

If you ended up booking a round-trip for 4,600 points total, you’d need to transfer just 3,600 Capital One miles or 4,000 Amex points with the current bonuses.

Los Angeles to Papeete on Air France

Air France flies a fifth-freedom route between Los Angeles (LAX) and Papeete, Tahiti (PPT), on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays through Saturdays using its Airbus A350-900.

Through Flying Club, you can book economy for 42,000 points each way (plus roughly $6 in taxes to Tahiti or $60 coming back).

You can also book this flight through other programs that offer Air France award tickets. But if you book through Virgin Atlantic, you could fly round-trip from Los Angeles to Tahiti for about 64,700 Capital One miles or 65,000 Amex points and less than $100 in taxes with the current bonuses.

Toronto to Seoul on Korean Air

For this one, you might want to set a PointsYeah Points Price Alert because it’s a little hard to find unless you get lucky and stumble across availability.

Every day, Korean Air flies its Airbus A350-900 between Toronto (YYZ) and Seoul (ICN). The trip takes roughly 15 hours each way, and Virgin Atlantic (when there’s space available) prices these awards in business class at 100,000 points per direction.

Taxes run about $56 westbound or $18 eastbound.

With the transfer bonuses, you can book business class on this really long flight for about 77,000 Capital One miles or Amex points each way.

Economy, though, is more widely available for 37,000 points per way (28,500 Capital One miles or 29,000 Amex points) plus the same taxes and fees.

Venture X Business Offers Up to 300,000 Miles and a $1,000 Travel Credit
The Capital One Venture X Business Rewards Credit Card has a massive limited-time welcome offer, and it comes in two tiers.

New cardholders can earn 150,000 bonus miles after spending $40,000 in the first four months. If they spend $120,000 in that same four-month window, they’ll earn another 150,000 miles plus a one-time $1,000 Capital One Business Travel credit, for up to 300,000 bonus miles in total.

Capital One is running the offer to mark the card’s third anniversary. And it calls the offer limited-time but hasn’t published an end date.

The card carries a $395 annual fee and comes with a long list of benefits.

Unlocking all of it takes a lot of spending, even for a business card. The card’s previous offer was 150,000 miles after $30,000 in spending within three months, so the first tier now takes $10,000 more in spending and gives one more month to do it.

Offers on the Venture X Business don’t change often, so an offer with a lower spending requirement will more than likely return once this one ends.

According to Capital One, bonus miles post “within two billing cycles” after you qualify. The $1,000 credit also lands in your Capital One Business Travel balance within two billing cycles, can be used across one or more bookings, and expires 16 months after account opening.

What Can You Do With Capital One Miles?

Capital One miles can be redeemed for travel booked through Capital One Business Travel or used to cover travel purchases made with the card.

They can also be transferred to Capital One’s airline and hotel partners, which include Air Canada Aeroplan, British Airways Club, Choice Privileges, and more.

Who Can Apply for the Venture X Business?

A business credit card does require a business. But that doesn’t necessarily mean a company with employees, an office, or a huge amount of revenue.

Sole proprietors, freelancers, independent contractors, and people with a side business can qualify, and Capital One accepts a Social Security number in place of an EIN for sole proprietorships.

There’s also a restriction on the bonus. According to Capital One’s terms, “Existing or previous Accountholders may not be eligible for this one-time bonus.”

However, you’ll want to make sure that whatever business you have can spend the necessary money in order to unlock the bonus (ideally in full). Businesses without substantial spending might want to consider other options.

Capital One Offers Are Handing Out Thousands of Bonus Miles
Capital One Offers are easy to forget about. But a batch of limited-time mileage bonuses showing up right now is a good reason to take another look before making a purchase.

Current offers cover flights, hotels, rideshares, activities, and plenty of things that have nothing to do with travel.

Some offer a certain number of miles per dollar spent. Others are more interesting: spend a relatively small amount and earn a fixed number of bonus miles.

British Airways, for example, is offering 4,000 Capital One miles after spending $75. Expedia has 2,000 miles after spending $40, while Klook and Lyft each offer 1,000 miles after spending $20.

Those aren’t huge spending requirements. If a purchase was going to happen anyway, checking Capital One Offers first could mean picking up a few thousand extra miles along the way.

Finding an offer isn’t enough on its own. The purchase needs to start by clicking through the offer, and each one has its own terms, including eligible purchases and restrictions.

The practical takeaway isn’t to find something to buy because an offer exists. It’s to check whether there’s an offer for something already being purchased.

A flight, hotel, rideshare, eSIM, or activity could already be sitting on the list. It takes a few seconds to look, and right now some of those few seconds are worth a few thousand miles.

Capital One Venture Offering a 75K-Mile Bonus With $300 Stays Credit

The venture_full: Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card currently has a welcome offer that combines its familiar 75,000-mile bonus with a $300 credit for hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel.

There’s a lot to like about this card, including the fact that it earns at least 2X miles per dollar on purchases and has a $95 annual fee.

Here’s what to know about the new offer.

Capital One Venture Card Offer Overview

New venture_short: Capital One Venture Card holders can take advantage of the following offer:

The 75,000-mile bonus isn’t new. That’s the same number of miles the Venture card offered previously.

The addition is the $300 Capital One Travel Stays credit. It can be used toward hotels and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel during the first cardholder year.

The entire $300 can be used on one booking or split across multiple eligible bookings. If a booking is canceled before the credit expires, Capital One says the credit will be restored as long as it hasn’t expired.

Purchases covered by the credit don’t earn miles.

And importantly, this is a one-time welcome-offer benefit. It’s not a recurring $300 annual credit on the venture_short: Capital One Venture Card.

What Else Comes With the Venture Card?

The venture_short: Capital One Venture Card is fairly straightforward when it comes to earning miles.

Cardholders get unlimited 2X miles per dollar on every purchase, every day. The card also earns unlimited 5X miles on hotels, vacation rentals, and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

It has a $95 annual fee and charges no foreign transaction fees. It also includes up to a $120 credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.

Capital One miles don’t expire for the life of the account. There are also several ways to use them.

One option is redeeming miles toward eligible travel purchases. Capital One miles are worth 1 cent each this way, making 75,000 miles worth $750 toward eligible travel expenses.

Miles can also be used to book travel through Capital One Travel.

Another option is transferring miles to an airline or hotel loyalty program. Most Capital One partners transfer at a 1:1 ratio, including programs such as Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, and British Airways Club.

Other redemption options include gift cards and cash back. The value of a Capital One mile varies depending on how it’s redeemed.

Who Is Eligible for the Welcome Offer?

There is an important application rule to know about this offer.

“You are not eligible for this product if you have received a new cardmember bonus for the Capital One Venture card or the Capital One Venture X card in the past 48 months.”

That means someone who received a venture_x_full: Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card welcome bonus during the past four years wouldn’t be eligible for the venture_short: Capital One Venture Card bonus, either.

What Could 75,000 Capital One Miles Help Book?

Seventy-five thousand Capital One miles can cover $750 in eligible travel purchases. Transferring the miles to an airline or hotel program can open up some different possibilities.

For example, 75,000 miles could be enough for two round-trip economy tickets to Europe, four round-trip tickets on some shorter domestic routes, or even a one-way business-class ticket across the Atlantic.

Those aren’t just theoretical examples. Points Insider found several trips bookable for 75,000 miles, including options for couples, families, and a lie-flat trip to Europe.

The $300 Capital One Travel Stays credit is separate from the 75,000 miles. It could cover part or all of an eligible hotel or vacation rental while the miles are used for something else.

What Can You Get With 75,000 Capital One Miles?
Seventy-five thousand Capital One miles can cover $750 in travel.

Book through Capital One Travel, or make an eligible travel purchase elsewhere and use miles to offset the cost afterward. It’s one of the most straightforward ways to redeem Capital One miles.

But it’s not the only one.

Capital One miles can also be transferred to airline and hotel loyalty programs. And some of these partner redemptions can make it possible to get more than the miles’ face value.

Start With $750 Toward Travel

Capital One miles are worth 1 cent each when used toward eligible travel purchases. That makes 75,000 miles worth $750.

That could cover a $750 hotel stay, knock $500 off a flight and leave 25,000 miles behind, or pay for travel booked through Capital One Travel.

Capital One offers other ways to redeem miles, too. But not all of them provide the same value. Cash back and redemptions toward non-travel purchases, for example, are worth half a cent per mile.

Get More Than Face Value on Miles Transfers

Capital One also lets cardholders transfer miles to participating airline and hotel loyalty programs. Most transfer at a 1:1 ratio, so 20,000 Capital One miles would become 20,000 miles or points with the receiving program.

That can work well when an airline offers a flight for fewer miles than it would take to cover the cash price through Capital One. Ditto for hotels.

There’s a little more work involved. Availability comes and goes, taxes and fees can apply, and transfers can’t be reversed. Find the flight or hotel first, then transfer the miles needed to book it.

Here’s What 75,000 Capital One Miles Can Book Now

We searched PointsYeah for trips that could be booked with 75,000 Capital One miles or less. All of the examples below were available when we searched on September 8, 2026.

Take two people to Europe

Flying Blue, the loyalty program shared by Air France and KLM, offers monthly Promo Rewards, which discounts flights from several destinations. This month, more than a dozen flights between North America and Europe start at 18,750 miles each way.

At that price, 75,000 miles is enough for two round-trip tickets.

There were plenty of other options outside the Promo Rewards list, too.

We found Delta flights from Detroit (DTW) to Reykjavik (KEF) for 18,000 Flying Blue miles plus about $35 one way. The return costs the same number of miles, although taxes and fees jumped to about $310.

Boston (BOS) to Dublin (DUB) on Delta was available for 19,500 Flying Blue miles plus about $34 one way, again with higher fees on the return from Europe.

Cover a domestic trip for the family

Seventy-five thousand miles can also cover several shorter flights.

We found American flights from Miami (MIA) to Key West (EYW) for 9,200 Qantas points plus $5.60 each way. Capital One transfers to Qantas, which can use its points to book some American flights.

At that price, four round-trip tickets would require 73,600 miles.

Other examples included American from Dallas (DFW) to San Diego (SAN) for 13,800 Qantas points plus $5.60 each way, and United from Newark (EWR) to Orlando (MCO) for 15,000 Aeroplan points plus about $33 each way.

Escape somewhere warm

A couple could also put 75,000 miles toward a winter trip somewhere warmer.

Delta flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Belize City (BZE) and Grand Cayman (GCM) were available through Virgin Atlantic for 16,500 points each way.

Two round-trip tickets would require 66,000 miles. Belize came with about $8 in taxes outbound and $91 returning, while Grand Cayman was about $6 outbound and $109 back.

We also found United flights between San Francisco (SFO) and Honolulu (HNL) for 17,500 Aeroplan points plus about $46 each way. Two round trips would require 70,000 miles.

Splurge on business class

Seventy-five thousand miles can even be enough for a one-way business-class ticket across the Atlantic.

We found several flights through Air Canada Aeroplan for 60,000 points plus about $57 in taxes and fees:
- Boston (BOS) to Zurich (ZRH) on SWISS
- New York (JFK) to Frankfurt (FRA) on Singapore Airlines
- Washington Dulles (IAD) to Brussels (BRU) on Brussels Airlines
Any of those would leave 15,000 Capital One miles behind.

Business class gets a lot of attention in the points and miles world, but it isn’t necessarily a better use of the miles. Four economy tickets to Key West could be far more useful than one lie-flat seat to Europe, depending on the trip.

How to Earn 75,000 Capital One Miles

Capital One miles can be earned with several credit cards.
